The Holiday Treat Shoppe transformed a simple concept into an extraordinary member experience, bringing the joy and warmth of the holiday season directly to Austin Country Club. Featuring seasonal specialties handcrafted by Head Pastry Chef Kevin Pysell and his talented pastry team, the shoppe offered a unique opportunity for members to purchase exquisite Club-made holiday treats and gifts. This festive pop-up enhanced member engagement during the holiday season, providing a delightful and convenient shopping experience, and showcased the culinary expertise of our team. By incorporating a raffle with every purchase, we added a layer of excitement, encouraging repeat visits and boosting participation.

The Holiday Treat Shoppe demonstrated our ability to adapt and innovate, creating a memorable seasonal offering that members look forward to now annually.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Planning began in spring, focusing on curating a diverse selection of holiday favorites and seasonal specialties. Chef Kevin and his team crafted delectable offerings from ACC branded white chocolate golf balls/sleeves, to housemade maracons & european style festive breads. Thoughtful Club branded packaging made each item perfect for gifting instilling members a deep sense of pride of their Club. The shoppe operated daily from December 6th to Christmas Eve, transforming the Club's central lobby into a whimsical winter shopping wonderland.

The response from members was overwhelmingly positive. Many praised the shoppe’s convenience, quality, and creativity, with several remarking that it made their holiday season less stressful and more enjoyable. The event also highlighted our culinary department's talent and the Club's ability to create unique, festive experiences.
