Idea Fair
City Club of the Future
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
As a Club in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, we have many members who live and work within walking distance of the Club. While preparing the historic 75th-anniversary gala invitations for mailing, we wanted to have a 'wow' factor. We were inspired by the pink robots that recently popped up around Uptown. Members craved face-to-face contact more than ever and standard mail just isn't that engaging. What started as a ‘City Club of the Future' idea became reality in September as a partnership with Tiny Mile AI and Charlotte City Club took to the streets of Uptown, covering over 8 miles hand-delivering gala invitations!
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
A delivery robot named Geoffrey, accompanied by our team members, delivered personalized invitations to the 75th Anniversary Gala, embellished with the Club’s anniversary crest, along with a kit of party essentials to Members' homes. We covered over 8 miles that day.
Geoffrey even made a guest appearance at the gala! Members were delighted by this innovative delivery, a celebration of the Club's history and a nod to the future.
This project had a huge impact on social media, with engagement numbers far surpassing our expectations. The robot delivery also led to an increased level of membership inquiries from business people who saw the logoed robot parade on the street that day.
