Club Capture

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

As I assume many clubs can bond with us in this struggle, we were capturing so many amazing moments between our members but had no effective way of sharing these memories to each person. After watching picture after picture sit in the club’s Historical Archive folders, we did some research and discovered SmugMug. This platform allows us to store, organize, edit, and share all of those captured moments. Each event is organized in its own gallery and found on an RCC specific domain within the platform organized in calendar order per year making the site super accessible to all of our members.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Our members are thrilled to have a central location in which they can review photos from almost every event hosted at the club. Whether it be a paddle tournament or our Southside Opener party, chances are if they attended the event, there’s a great photo of them and their guests. Within each gallery members have the options to share or download an image to then use for their own pleasure and projects. But the coolest feature according to our members is that each photo is tagged by their last name so when they go to search their name, it will pull up any image from any gallery that they are tagged in for ease and convenience for our members. The entire RCC community, staff and members, are thrilled to have an integrated site where we can relive all the fun with the click of a button.
