How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

A few years ago, we began the tradition of hosting an annual Tree Lighting Ceremony to give members a chance to see the many decorations that are placed around the property during the Christmas season. As we made plans for 2021, we decided to move the event outside, illuminate the front of the Clubhouse, and celebrate the event on an even grander scale!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Members stood outside and participated in a group countdown as we lit the outdoor trees, the Clubhouse, and all of the indoor trees and decor. Members then entered the Clubhouse where all spaces were decorated and we provided an open-house style event. Each room had a bar and food. We had our in-house photographer take portraits of members in front of one of our trees, and we even had a surprise visit from Santa himself! The event provided a wonderful opportunity for members of all ages to create special holiday memories at Farmington.
