Idea Fair
Crossover Night
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Crossover Night is a dining concept where front-of-house staff step into kitchen roles, and back-of-house staff serves members. As a seasonal club, there comes a sad time of year when the town quiets down, and we bid farewell to our amazing international team. With these inevitable changes in mind, we wanted to shake things up. Along came Crossover Night: International Team. This playful reversal of roles created a casual, interactive atmosphere, allowing members to connect personally with the staff they might not typically interact with.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We featured a streamlined menu to ensure high-quality dishes while simplifying operations for staff in new roles, with the Executive Chef providing guidance. Highlighting the international team’s contributions added a meaningful farewell element and drove member engagement during a typically quiet shoulder-season evening. With its focus on interaction and a casual dining experience, this event provided an impactful way to refresh interest in slower dining periods while celebrating the people who bring the club to life.
Clubs with or without international staff can implement Crossover Night to showcase employee talents, tell their stories, and strengthen member-staff connections.
