How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This idea created something our Swim Team was majorly lacking, SPIRIT. Not only did this activity help with creating excitement for our team, but also promoted the sales of our Swim Team Stingray Merchandise. Our team of winning Dads were given a free beverage of their choice, and a free CCC Stingray hat, which sparked interest in other parents to buy merch!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We added this activity to our annual Swim Team Spirit Night at the Pool. At first it was a challenge to get volunteers to sign up, but when others caught wind of a few dads signing up, they wanted to participate too! This created so much excitement as the kids and spouses watched and cheered on their dad's team on the sidelines of the pool, just as they get cheered on during an actual swim meet. This has brought a lot of energy and swim team families are already planning for the 2024 Dad Relay Race!
