Demo Day

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Like most clubs, the golf manufacturers send out their representatives with the newest, latest equipment to allow the members to try out their equipment. For this “Demo Day” we arranged to bring in the top golf teachers available. This special day allowed for members to sign up and be taught by the best in the business. Included with each session was lunch with the Stockton’s and a signed copy of their book. This time off the golf course allowed the members to get to know these two icons in the golf industry. By scheduling this day, we increased the value of our members’ membership at the club.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We scheduled this event, posted flyers around the clubhouse, highlighted it in our weekly email blast and posted it on our web site. The event sold out quickly. The members that participated all felt it was a wonderful experience and are looking forward to our next golf “Demo Day” similar to this one.
