Digital Media Director
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Club communication is always changing and it’s important to stay relevant in a world where digital media is constantly evolving. The purpose of hiring a Digital Media Director was to have someone enhance the Clubs’ external branding and internal marketing efforts, specifically by utilizing our social media outlets. Since hiring our Digital Media Director in 2019 the clubs social media platforms have skyrocketed as another way for our club to communicate with our Members and prospective Members. For example, the clubs Facebook page only had a reach of 436 people in 2019. That is an indication of how many people interact with our page. Today, our Facebook page reaches an audience of over 40,000 people.
Some other areas our Digital Media Director has enhanced our clubs operation is by the noticeable increase in attendance and Member engagement through promotion of our events, and helping us have a full Membership with a waitlist in all Membership categories by implementing a strong presence of external marketing through our social media platforms.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Our Digital Media Director plays a huge part in promoting and capturing our events through photography and videography. The Members love to share, save, and interact with our team by seeing themselves or their family/friends on our social media pages.
Our Members also appreciate informative videos our Digital Media Director creates when showcasing capital projects, or Member Events through our Field Club Flash videos, for example.
