How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

PCC's Diverse Universe is a youth program designed to enhance our little members' cultural awareness. Held on Martin Luther King Day, we shared our dream to foster the celebration of diversity and inclusion while encouraging our youth's creativity and passion for learning. This program was such a success that it created a surge in our members' desires for more new and creative youth activities away from the realms of pool, tennis and golf.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This program is the brain child of PCC's incredible Director of Youth Programming, Audrey Thompson, who sought a way to incorporate our club's message of diversity and inclusion into her youth activities. What's a better day to celebrate and educate our youth on the cultures of the world than MLK Day? Our club members were delighted over the program because it is a perfect balance of education and fun, and it gave parents a chance to enjoy a quiet afternoon at their club or home after the holidays. They loved seeing their children's artwork and hearing of the cultures and games they learned. We have received overwhelming responses for this program to return in January 2024.
