The “Elves of Appreciation” concept has significantly strengthened Army Navy Country Club’s community culture by fostering meaningful connections between employees and members. The idea was implemented by transforming the Board of Governors (BOG) into “Elves of Appreciation,” complete with festive hats and aprons. The Elves embraced roles such as bartending, passing hors d’oeuvres, assisting with check-in, and helping to snap photos of attendees enjoying the event. Inspired by the success and joy of the tradition, many BOG members have expressed interest in involving other club members and their families in future celebrations, expanding the sense of community and shared appreciation.
