Idea Fair
Employee Appreciation Week
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
To increase morale and show appreciation for our wonderful staff—who provided exceptional services throughout the pandemic and during nationwide staffing shortages—an entire week of special programming around the Club was created for their enjoyment. What better way to appreciate our staff than by allowing them to experience the club as a member would?
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Farmington's department heads were consulted on how their department could give back to employees and get them engaged. Once the activities were decided, a signup form was sent to all employees. Activities included:
- Monday (Golf): Golf Lessons in the Performance Center with a Pro
- Tuesday (Racquets): Paddle Ball Instructional Session with the Director of Racquet Sports
- Wednesday (Fitness): Yoga Classes, Chair Massages, and Mental Health Session
- Thursday (Culinary): Lead Chefs made a specialty dish to replace normal employee meals. Dining stations included a biography about each chef and why they chose that dish.
- Friday (Food and Beverage): Breakfast in the Ballroom, including an omelet station manned by our Club Manager and Director of Green and Grounds.
- Saturday (Youth Activities): Donut Truck, Archery, and Axe Throwing
- Sunday (Local Nonprofit): Food Truck
