Idea Fair
Employee Easter Egg Hunt
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Last year, we held an Employee Easter Egg Hunt that was well received by the whole staff. We wanted to show our appreciation for them and all their hard work in a fun, festive way. Since our staff spends most of their holidays working at the Club, doing something special for them was important to us. It allowed us to show them how much we value their efforts and provide them with motivation and encouragement.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Easter eggs were placed all throughout the Club in places where employees would see them. We had a variety of arrangements of candy – such as Hershey’s chocolate, Sour Patch Kids, chocolate eggs/bunnies, and peanut butter cups. We also had a special “golden egg” to which we added some of our employee rewards, including some “tux tokens” and “kudos cash.”
Employees were running around looking for treats! There was some friendly competition, and employees were able to find these little surprises throughout their day of serving 750 members. Overall, the Easter Egg Hunt was an easy and fun way to help make working a major holiday more enjoyable for our staff, and we hope to make it an annual tradition at our club.
