Employee Rap Sessions
Description
R=Review A=Analyze P=Plan
We are always looking for a better way to provide feedback for our front line employees – instead of waiting for the dreaded once a year "review." RAP sessions are an informal way to spend 30 minutes checking in with each employee on a monthly basis to review, analyze, and plan. These sessions provide an opportunity for both positive and constructive feedback allowing the employee to know what is expected and how he or she can improve. They also give the employee an opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns on a regular basis.
Implementation
At the beginning of each month, a date and time will was determined for each employee’s session allowing both the supervisor and employee to be prepared. During the meeting, notes should be made for both the supervisor and employee to review until the next get together. The main goals for the RAP sessions are – consistent communication, increased employee involvement, and new creative ideas.
