ENCC Turkey Trot

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Our First Annual Turkey Trot brought members of all ages (20 days old -81 years old) together as we ran through the local community!  We had signs posted on trails per our city permit stating trail share.  People in the community were talking about how great ENCC is to do this for our members!  We were infectious!  Brand building at its best!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We submitted a permit with the City of Laguna Niguel to enable us to run on the city trails.  Shirts, finisher metals were ordered for all participants.  Members picked up race day packets with information for the race, trail information, shirts and bibs.  After members crossed the finish line, they were issued a finisher metal and enjoyed a pancake breakfast, Bloody Mary's, Mimosas and hot cocoa for the kids!  We also partnered with Serra's Pantry where members brought canned good and donations. Sponsors of the race included RNDC, Ingardia and US Foods!
