Idea Fair
End of Summer Campfire
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
The end of summer is always a bittersweet time for members—saying goodbye to sunny pool days while welcoming the excitement of a new school year and season. To celebrate this transition, Farmington introduced the End of Summer Campfire two summers ago, and it has quickly become a cherished tradition. This interactive event brings families together on the pool deck for an evening of roasting s’mores and crafting both sweet and savory mountain pies over an open fire. The campfire offers a memorable experience for families while adding a creative twist to the Club’s already beloved offerings, making it a standout conclusion to the pool season.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The concept was designed to create an interactive and family-friendly way to close the pool season. Staff members enthusiastically assist children and adults in roasting s’mores and constructing their personalized mountain pies, fostering a warm and engaging atmosphere. The culinary team enjoys stepping out of the kitchen to interact with members directly, adding a personal touch to the event. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with members appreciating the unique experience and staff finding joy in being part of such a fun, family-centered activity.
