The Arlington, VA campus of Army Navy Country Club provides its membership a clubhouse that is extremely energy efficient with the lowest possible operating expenses. The mechanical and electrical systems are environmentally responsible and sustainable. This board demonstrates the means and methods used to achieve these standards and goals.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The ideas and goals were implemented by the incorporation of state of the art mechanical & electrical systems, professional engineering oversite on operations, and by the continued conscience selection and use of recycled and re-purposed materials. The results in operating cost savings have been significant, measurable and have been received well by the at-large membership, as well as contribute significantly to controlling dues that relates to the increased number of wait-listed new members.
