How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Escape rooms have been all the rage lately. Trying to escape a room with your friends in an hour, hindered with solving a series of puzzles and riddles, is an exhilarating experience for everyone – the result being escape rooms popping up all over the country. So, we decided to build our own for the day, letting members and their guests try to escape the Champions Run Escape Room.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

To implement this idea, we purchased a bunch of locks and turned one of our rooms into a trapped/haunted escape room. With much research on other escape rooms, we developed our own challenging puzzles and riddles to deter everyone’s escape. Our goal was to create something just as fun, yet challenging as any other escape room. We had families and groups sign up in one-hour time slots and hosted the event all day on a Sunday. The members really enjoyed being able to do an exclusive escape room for an affordable cost at their own club. It is an event we definitely plan on hosting again in the coming future!
