Events Shift Signup Sheet

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

During a nationwide labor shortage, we found a creative way to staff our large events and busy weekends. Throughout September, October, and November of 2021, we implemented a club-wide signup sheet for event shifts—including setup, service, and breakdown shifts. Staff members from all departments were offered an opportunity to sign up. This method assisted the events team with staffing high volume weekends and large events during a time when labor shortages were a major obstacle.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

At the beginning of each month, an "Available Shifts" document was distributed to all Farmington managers. The document listed all available shifts, including brief details such as the event type and shift assignments. Staff members would sign up for shifts via email and the document was updated as signups were received so everyone could see the current shifts available and who signed up.
