Extended Membership? Extend Your Golf Shop
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
The addition of online golf shop sales and remote delivery has provided us with a boost in sales with very limited labor output. The system has allowed us to reach our absent military members all over the world. It has allowed us to also provide our new “100th Anniversary” logo to the membership on items of their choice without having to carry the cost of a huge expansion in inventory. Maybe most importantly, it has allowed us to stretch the number of clothing vendors offered in our two shops from about 50 in number to 77. This helps us to reach out the very particular shopper in today’s online world. “Reach out” well beyond the available 2500 sq. feet found in our golf shops.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The members have loved this new retail avenue and delivery service. They like the expanded inventory and selection opportunities. In December, the system exploded with sales for Christmas and with the opportunity to buy the new logo. We are looking for this growth to continue through 2024. We highly recommend that you get a system like this in place prior to any major anniversary celebration at your club. We think that you will be glad that you did.
