Fall Fest

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Fall Fest has quickly became one of our most anticipated events as it encompasses the spirit of the season. One of the many reasons that makes Willowbend a unique place – we are the only course on Cape Cod to have working cranberry bogs! Year after year, we have gathered during the cranberry harvest to take in the beauty of garnet-colored floating berries and watch in fascination at the process of the harvest. We are BERRY excited to be announcing a new celebration of the harvest season here at Willowbend! Members and their friends can expect to learn about the history of cranberry farming, the process of growing, harvesting, and the health benefits cranberries provide. The members joined for family activities, a fun Bog Run, Bog Tour, hayrides, local vendors, games, live music, and great food! Additionally, we highlighted an amazing collection of Cape Cod’s homegrown artists, artisans, and farmers. The celebration continues at the Willowbend Grille Room as we transform the patio into a Fall Beer Garden with live entertainment, beer, wine tasting, and a delectable harvest-themed lunch! This event not only integrates all aspects of the club but brings the community together.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

After reviewing surveys we noticed membership craved a bigger and better experience. We reached out to our local vendors, enhanced programming and allowed membership to build community. Our membership relies heavily on digital signage, email blasts and push notifications through our app to register for events like this. After seeing all the fun planned come to life our membership gave high praise and can not wait for another year of fall fest fun.
