At Bay Head Yacht Club’s annual Turkey Trot Brunch, we introduced a Family Christmas Card Photoshoot, adding a new and meaningful element to an already cherished tradition. We hired a professional photographer and created a beautiful holiday-themed setup in front of a fireplace. This addition elevated the event by offering families high-quality, memorable photos, perfect for their holiday greeting cards.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

To implement this idea, our Events Director assigned time slots for each family and coordinated their turns during the event for a seamless experience that did not disrupt the other activities. Our photographer delivered a quick turnaround, and we were able to email families within three days of the event—just in time for their holiday card preparations. We promoted the photoshoot on the event flyer, Instagram and in all event reminders to ensure participants were aware of this special offering. Member feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing appreciation for the added convenience and thoughtfulness.
