Idea Fair
Family Festivals
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Family Holiday Festivals at HRC were created to help combine various Club events and enhance our Members’ experiences. The festivals have shown themselves to be beneficial and fun for our families as they create magical memories while assisting the Club in maintaining our event and Member usage. Our festivals have been culturally more beneficial for our employees as well as the departments to take pride in a day that creates a magical experience for our Members. Everyone works together to make these events possible, and it has enhanced our Members’ experience while cultivating and lifting our incredible teams!
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The Winter Family Festival was a combination of the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and our Children’s Holiday Party. For this festival, we received over 591 Members who enjoyed a one-stop-shop winter wonderland that was fun for the entire family. The fun included buffets, inflatable snow globes for pictures, live ice carving, petting zoos, live reindeer, Santa coming in on a fire truck, and snow when our Board President, Lamar Morris, flipped on the holiday lights for the Club. We saw that by combining our events as fun for the whole family, it was more cost-effective for various departments and increased our Members satisfaction! This led to our Family Fall Festival, which combined our Children’s Halloween Party and our complimentary trick-or-treating around the Club. We received 654 people for our first Family Fall Festival! Our activities varied from trick-or-treating booths that every department dressed up for, including our COO, Thomas Preuml, arts and crafts, a DJ, a stilt walking scarecrow, pumpkin carving, photo booths, liquid nitrogen popcorn, and a buffet with desserts galore. The implementation of Family Holiday Festivals has been incredibly successful and well received from both Member and employee perspectives.
