How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
This is an annual event at the highest elevation on the golf course, overlooking the Mississippi River and Downtown Minneapolis. We provide an intimate wine dinner in the open air, taking advantage of views that cannot be seen from the Member Dining spaces in the Clubhouse. This event is only possible with the support of both the Grounds Crew and the Golf Operations Team to get not only Members and staff up to the top of the hill, but also all the equipment needed to execute this event. It's truly a collaboration and only a few members per year get to have this experience with us.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We post the date on our annual calendar at the beginning of the year and the members know to mark the date registration opens. For the past several years, this event was held in the Fall and was rained out for 4 years in a row. In 2023, we moved the event to July, one of the driest months, to ensure the event could be executed. Our Members love this experience and talk about it all year.
