Idea Fair

Father's Day by the Bay

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Father's Day by the Bay was designed to honor fathers with an unforgettable day at the club. This event featured a buffet of fresh clams, oysters, shrimp, and crawfish and complimentary sides paired with bourbon and beer tastings. The festivities continued with an outdoor fishing experience at our lakeside activity center, where poles and bait were provided for a hassle-free day. This event provided a memorable way for fathers to enjoy quality time at the club with their families, reinforcing the club's commitment to creating inclusive and engaging experiences. By offering an activity that appealed to dads and their families, the event strengthened member satisfaction and showcased the club's versatility in hosting events catering to diverse interests.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

A crawfish and shrimp boil buffet was set up near the lake between the aquatic center and golf course, with a member charge bar and beer/bourbon tastings under an adjacent canopy. Families spent the day outdoors fishing in the fully stocked lake, relaxing and enjoying the serene environment, making it an effortlessly enjoyable occasion for all. Members enjoyed the mix of good food, a relaxing activity, and family time. With all essential tools, bait, and gear provided, participants could simply show up and enjoy.
