Father-Son Football Frenzy

Description

While the weeks leading up to the holidays can be quiet around the club, we wanted to welcome another concept of a "home away from home" to our families. Instead of watching Sunday football at home on the couch, we transformed one of our rooms into a sports lounge complete with a tailgate buffet, dart board, ping pong table, basketball shot, two live streaming games on a big screen to welcome father son duos of all ages. Once some of the boys watched the games on the big screen, they were inspired to go out on the terrace and play touch football and aim to hit a bullseye on our football toss by the firepits.

Implementation

A great afternoon was had by all- Dads and sons were thrilled to get out of the house on Sunday for some bonding time and come to the Club to relax for the afternoon. The team was excited to see so many attendees wearing their team's jersey, and one of the Dads asked if we could permanently transform the room for the entire football season to watch every Sunday! After the event we had comments from other members that we should have the event again and open it up to families, after all there are plenty of ladies who are big time football fans!
