Idea Fair
Fiddler's Cares
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Fiddler’s Cares through so many charitable initiatives. Here are just three examples:
- Students from the Gramon School’s New Beginnings Program were provided the opportunity to experience working in our kitchens as part of an initiative to help those who are developmentally disadvantaged to learn a skill or trade.
- Our GIVING TREE in 2022 supported Alternatives, Inc. who is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with housing and programs.
- Our FiddleFest Music & Food Festival and our Mixed Stix clubwide event raised important awareness and valuable funds for Tri-County Scholarship Fund whose mission is to provide opportunity for at-risk, New Jersey children with scholarships to safe, values-based independent schools to help them on a path of full potential.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Students helped with cutting vegetables and preparing to-go orders while also observing other areas of a working kitchen.
Our Giving Tree yielded hundreds of holiday gifts for the needy from our generous members.
Combined, FiddleFest and Mixed Stix was attended by more than 1500 participants. FiddleFest was headlined by Billy Joel’s original band and featured two stages, 6 bands and 7 food trucks. Mixed Stix included a golf pro-am, golf and tennis member-guests, a chef’s cooking competition, fly fishing and a reception filled with fun, music and prizes.
