Field Club Campout

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This event was a campout on our Golf Course where the members brought their own tent and sleep supplies and we provided the rest! We had a packed activity schedule with pool games, yard games, dinner buffet, s'mores, outdoor movie, sparklers and breakfast the next day. This was such a fun event that the members loved. Not only did it allow for new family members, it is definitely a new annual event!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We utilized our staff to lead the activities and stay the night in their own tent in case the members needed anything overnight. We also hired a security guard to patrol throughout the night so everyone felt safe! It was a super easy and very fun event that the members absolutely loved. Many of the members mentioned that they had always wanted to camp with their kids but had never done it because they weren't sure their kids could handle it. Having it at the Club allowed them to try it for the first time without worry, especially since they were close to home just in case their kids didn't make it all night! We are already getting requests for the new date for 2025.
