Fireside Chats with Members

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Fireside Chats with our Members was developed to connect our Employees to our Members and provide an additional resource for staff training. This year's first session was with a CEO of a National Health Care Provider and we spoke to him about a variety of topics. As a leader of a large company we focused on Communication, Leadership philosophy, Mentors, work-life balance and particulars of his Club usage. The Staff was able to take away a great deal of information they could use for themselves and learned a lot about a Member they might not have known before.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The idea was implemented by our Membership Director who also sits on our Employee Relations Committee. Coordinating schedules to provide a Member with a relaxing place to talk and an open forum for our Staff to ask questions. Our Board of Governors were pleased with the idea and we are working with our Members to tackle new ideas for next year including Human Resources with an HR director of a Fortune 250 company.
