How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The trend toward younger member families can create a gap between newer and long-time members if left unaddressed. In order to bridge that distance, Saucon Valley Country Club introduced the Founding Friendships event to facilitate the establishment of new relationships amongst the Club’s 1,200 members.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Couples are strategically seated at tables together to encourage mingling of different demographics. A plated dinner follows a short cocktail session, and ice breaker games and discussion questions are led by the event coordinator. By the end of the first discussion question, the group naturally falls into great conversations with no more prompted questions needed!
