Gingerbread Project

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The Gingerbread Project has flourished, now benefiting MD Anderson’s Child Life Program. With overwhelming support from Club Members at various events, such as the Winter Family Festival, Gingerbread Live Ball, Elves on the Run, Gingerbread Mix & Mingle, Gingerbread Workshop, and The October Fitness Challenge, the project has raised over $680K to date.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Members take pride in participating in these events, knowing they are making a meaningful impact on the lives of young cancer patients. Several prominent private clubs in Houston collaborated with HRC to create their own unique gingerbread creations, resulting in a large gingerbread village displayed during the Christmas season at M.D. Anderson in Houston. The teamwork and coordination between the Club Managers and Executive Chefs at these clubs have fostered a festive camaraderie among the group. Together, we are truly making a difference.
