Golf Bunker Renovation with the Director Of Golf

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Recently, we underwent a complete bunker renovation at Champions Run, adding the Better Billy Bunker method and Pro Angle Sand, as well as reshaping and eliminating some course bunkers. We were fortunate enough to be able to bring in our original course architect to help with the process. In order to notify the membership of the project, we did a fly over of every hole with a drone, collecting images and clips. After compiling the images and clips, we presented what the course would look like after the renovation. We also did video interviews with our Director of Golf, that played while showing the aerial views of the course. In the video he explained the reasoning for the bunker reshaping and why we decided to do it that way. The overall effect, was that it enhanced the golf communication to our members effectively and efficiently.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We implemented this idea by having our creative director take all the photos and compile them, creating visuals of what each hole would look like. We then did sit down video interviews with the Director of Golf so he could explain the project in its entirety. The members thought our golf department was well communicated with, and that the club, as a whole, was very transparent in what was occurring on the course.
