Golf Holiday Events

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Our Golf Holiday Events bring all of our members of all ages together to create new experiences at their club with their families and guests. The Golf Holiday Events that took place this year were:

Holiday Golf Demo Day, which featured:

• The top 6 club manufacturers
• 6 different apparel companies
• Ecco Shoes and Foot Joy Shoes
• Club Car, EZ-GO, and Yamaha
• Open Bar
• The Good Humor Truck

Event was set up on or around the driving range where members and guests could walk with ease to all the different vendors. The one day creates around $25,000 in business between all the manufacturers because we host it during the busy holiday season.

Holiday Mini-Golf with Morgan
This year we turned our putting green into a six hole Miniature Golf Course

• LPGA Star Morgan Pressel greeted all participating kids at the 1st Hole with a hat that she autographed just for them.
• Each of our PGA Professionals were stationed at each hole to help the kids
• Each of the six holes had a different theme with obstacles that matched the theme
• Each hole had an 18x24 sign with the Hole Name and a picture of the theme.
• Each kid was handed a complimentary colored golf ball, a putter, and a themed scorecard at check-in.
• Water and snacks were available at the 1st tee for the kids
• The winning scores in each age division was awarded an outfit of his/her choice in the golf shop.

Holiday Family Pitch & Putt
For the first time we modified our driving range into a Five Hole par three golf course

• Players registered at the 1st tee where they were given clubs, balls, and a Scorecard
• Drinks and Snacks were also available at registration
• Each Hole was supervised by a Golf Professional
• Each hole was between 42-78 yards
• We ran this during the holiday season so it gave members a chance to play with their children and grandchildren
• The winning score in each age division received a dozen golf balls of their choice

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Our members absolutely love our Golf Holiday Events. They are very diverse and always feature many different things. We get overwhelming turnouts at each one and we will continue to implement these events for years to come.
