How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Detroit Athletic Club staff have the privilege of providing exceptional service to members for their most important and memorable life moments. We needed a creative and meaningful way to impress upon our employees how much their efforts and thoughtfulness are recognized and appreciated by the membership.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

A custom-built video booth for Club members to record 30-second messages acknowledging and thanking staff was constructed. The booth was prominently located in the main lobby during the Club’s signature Back To The Club event and was so well-received that availability was extended to seven days. More than 100 minutes of member recordings were captured.

The member recordings were reviewed and the best submissions compiled into a video. The video was featured at the all-staff meetings just before Thanksgiving week – traditionally the biggest week at the DAC each year. The video was also shared with the membership who enjoyed seeing their words of gratitude shared with and appreciated by the DAC staff. The finished video struck the perfect balance of fun and sincerity and landed perfectly with staff getting ready for the busy holiday season.
