How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Offering members a way to get extra practice time in without going to the local batting cage. They can practice at their home away from home. Our cart storage facility turns into the best batting cage around with a regulation pitching mound also available upon reservation. This is another way to add value to their membership using facilities that we already have at a minimal cost.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We set up the netting for our facility, and course maintenance built the pitching mound. Members make reservations in the golf shop. This “extra” amenity is appreciated by the parents of little league kids, especially during the rainy spring. It adds value to their membership without another cost to them.
