How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We aim to provide the most unique, fun experience to everyone who walks onto our pool deck. From fake palm trees to a giant chair for a photo opportunity, to tropical music and a tiki bar, our goal is create a one of a kind place that all ages enjoy. To create a more welcoming and inclusive environment, our team at Champions Run decided to purchase a humongous gumball machine to place on the pool deck. This is no average gumball machine; this contraption is 8 feet, holds 40,000 gumballs, and was purchased all the way from Dixon, Illinois. The idea behind this machine was to give our kids a chance to bond with our staff members. Each day, our pool lifeguards and servers would receive 4 quarters; as a kid, if you wanted a gumball, you would have to introduce yourself to a staff member and tell them about yourself. This gave our staff an opportunity to learn our members names, but also made our kids feel special and important.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This gumball machine cannot be missed. It is the first thing our members and their guests see upon entering our pool deck. This machine sparked the interest of many because it is gigantic and so uncommon to see. People loved not only receiving gumballs, but taking photos by the machine to show their family and friends how awesome Champions Run is.
