Hallbrook's North Pole Experience
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
What is one thing every kid dreams of during the holiday season? Going to the North Pole! This Christmas season, we brought the North Pole experience to Hallbrook. The North Pole experience was an event created to bring Santa’s Workshop alive. The Hallbrook team from different departments paired to incorporate holiday Pro Shop shopping, cookie decorating with the kitchen elves, snow globe crafts, and snowball fights with our Tennis Professionals. The children were able to create and shop for their parents' holiday gifts while having fun experiencing the North Pole activities. This event created a lot of buzz, participation, and revenue for our Pro Shop.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
To emulate Santa’s Workshop at the North Pole we created five stations, the first being Elf University. This is where the children were able to see what it takes to be on Santa's team, and receive their hard-earn Elf certificate after completing a rigorous Elf Program! The second stop was in the kitchen to learn how to decorate the perfect cookie with all the kitchen elves. Next was the Toy Shop. The Toy Shop gave the children the opportunity to work the factory lines of Santa’s Workshop to make a custom take-home snow globe ornament for their parents to hang on the Christmas tree. Finally, they were headed off to the Pro Shop pop-up to pick out the perfect gifts for their family. The kids made their way from station to station collecting, making, and experiencing all the fun things Christmas has to offer.
