Happy Hour

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Every Thursday in August of 2022, our summer food and beverage interns put together a "Happy Hour" event in the courtyard of our club’s Pool Snack Bar. Members were invited to come to Happy Hour on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. to enjoy live music, a variety of discounted local and fan-favorite beers, and tacos with a table full of topping options and side dishes.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Our Town Club interns executed this as a project—they oversaw finding and hiring a one-man talent for each event, as well as planning the menu and set up. They worked alongside the culinary, banquets, communications, and catering departments to create the banquet event orders, ensure all the food items were requisitioned, set up for the event, and create advertisements to inform the membership of the events. Happy Hour brought many new faces to the courtyard, and it became a popular event for families and couples. We received a great response from this event, with frequent positive feedback from members and many requests to continue this event in the future.
