Harvest Day Ushers in Fall

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Construct a Farmer's Market on property for members and families to enjoy at the onset of the Thanksgiving week's events. New to our programing this year, this event welcomed grandparents, parents and children of all ages. This event, as many of our events, bridges the generations with something for everyone and enhances our family week traditions.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Booths were constructed on-site to resemble those of a Farmer's Market. Booths featured goods from our kitchen as well as specially-ordered logo items. There was a face painter, balloon artist and children's petting area adjacent to the marketplace. Tables were available for noshing on the food items and our chefs were on hand to assist with the pie making by children of all ages! Many delighted in the construction of their own bird house to take home as a token. Family events are popular and fun for all who participate - this was no exception - judging by the smiling faces and mini pies.
