Helicopter Easter Egg Drop

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Our Easter event is very similar to our annual Tree Lighting. Most activities are on our pool deck where there is plenty of space and we can accommodate all of our members plus their family and friends. Tables are set up for our guests to have brunch outdoors, while the easter bunny walks around to greet everyone. All of this excitement is interrupted when a helicopter flies over the pool deck with the Easter Bunny.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Champions Run hired a local helicopter company to pick up the Easter Bunny and fly over the range to drop 3000 easter eggs onto the driving range. “Simply unbelievable” are the words that members used when they saw the Easter Bunny hovering 10,000 feet above them. Instead of the traditional egg hunt, members and their families hustled to the driving range to see what the commotion was about; soon enough, the range was covered with eggs, and hundreds of kids watched in awe at who was in the sky. This event brought magic to a traditional celebration and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
