Holiday Concert Series

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Members look forward to the annual holiday concert throughout the year – it’s one of the club’s most highly anticipated events. The quality of the international performers is such that members are still talking about the performance months after the concert takes place. The concerts have earned us much praise and we are the only club in the world to have hosted The Vienna Boys Choir, The Irish Tenors and Meav, founding member of supergroup Celtic Woman.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We set our ballroom with a stage and over 500 chairs for each concert. Members enter a lottery for tickets and pick their tickets up at the club’s front desk in Arlington a week before the concert. During intermission, we serve beverages and Christmas cookies. The member’s reaction after each concert is overwhelmingly positive with members wanting to know “who’s coming next year?!”
