House Committee Honors

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

After informing our House Committee of the difficulty in retaining employees in a very difficult labor market, they asked what they could do to help. This is how House Committee Honors was born. Each month at the House Committee Meeting we recognize two stellar clubhouse employees with a signed Certificate of Achievement and gift cards. They are then posted in our monthly Employee and Member newsletters.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Each member of the Clubhouse Departmental leadership has the ability to nominate an hourly employee for this honor. The final decision is made by the House Committee Chairwoman and the Director of Clubhouse Operations. We honor one person from the front of the house and one person from the back of the house. This is a relatively new program that we are certain will show great strides in retention and employee morale. Having the membership be an official part of the recognition process has been a very powerful part of the equation.
