Hunter’s Moon Dinner
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
The Hunter’s Moon Dinner was inspired by the 2024 series of four super moons from August to November. To celebrate the season and this rare celestial event, we hosted a 3-course dinner under the glow of the Hunter’s Moon. The seasonal menu featured kabocha squash soup, cedar plank salmon, and a warm cinnamon apple rose highlighting the beauty of the season and providing members with a memorable dining experience. The Hunter’s Moon Dinner provided an exclusive, seasonal dining experience that captured the interest of members and provided a unique setting to connect nature with fine dining. The event also showcased the club’s creativity by incorporating astronomy, folklore, and seasonal cuisine.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We created an elegant tablescape with custom-designed menus, "moon rock" gifts and "phases of the moon macaroons" at each setting, crescent moon candlelight fixtures, and a telescope for moon viewing. The 3-course menu reflected the season, featuring fall flavors like kabocha squash soup and wood-plank salmon, evoking warmth and autumn charm. The dinner was designed as a full sensory experience, blending nature, seasonal flavors, and celestial wonder. Members loved the creative theme and dining under the moonlight. The unique menu and atmosphere offered a memorable fall experience, with many praising the event as special and distinctive.
