Kids Pizza Making

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Each summer we try to do a couple of cooking demos or interactive events for the kids. With the Pizza Making event, the kids actually get to design their own pizza. Our chefs are there to assist each child as they add their own toppings. Some of them can get pretty creative! Once they are done, the pizza goes to the kitchen to be cooked. We then return the finished product to the child so they can share their masterpiece with their family and friends.

This activity gives our member's children a glimpse into cooking and they also get to interact with our chefs.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We offer this event on a Sunday afternoon in August. We publicize it to our members through flyers, emails, our website and our monthly newsletter.

We have been doing this for four years now and it grows more popular every year. The kids, parents and staff have a lot of fun with it!
