Kraken Kares

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Though our club is known for doing fun and outrageous things at Champions Run, we also want to be known for dedication to our community. In 2020, we introduced a new event, Kraken Kares, where we hosted a golf night for our kids. Attendees were invited to bring things to donate (clothes, school supplies, toys) to Salvation Army.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This event sold out almost instantly. We hosted the golf evening at our sister club, Eagle Run, where the kids golfed 9 holes with their friends and then finished up with dinner, a Halloween movie, and s’mores. We want our Kraken kids to be aware of the need other kids in Omaha may have, and we were astounded by the amount of donations we received.
