Love is a Four-Legged Friend

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The Farmington Youth Program coordinators teamed up with the Albemarle County SPCA in uniting children and families with new, four-legged friends. The SPCA parked their mobile bus in front of the Children’s Place, allowing families to conveniently visit and interact with friendly dogs looking for a new home. Children crafted small toys that were in turn donated to the SPCA.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This event was a wonderful way for the Club to become involved with a valuable community organization. Parents and children loved interacting with the animals and requests have been made for more adoption opportunities.
