Idea Fair
Managers in Board Meetings
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Including the executive management team in board meeting rotations has strengthened organizational alignment, leadership development, and collaboration. By participating, executives gain firsthand insight into board-level concerns, enabling them to align departmental strategies with the club's long-term goals. We also noticed increased transparency and trust, making our executive team feel increasingly well-prepared. This exposure also helps to refine their executive presence and communication skills while fostering a deeper understanding of department challenges.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The practice was introduced through a simple rotating schedule based on that month's board focus. Each month, one manager joins the Board Meeting. This minimal adjustment has been well-received by both the board members and management, as it ensures management is attuned to member priorities. Those involved in the meetings have expressed appreciation for the collaborative approach, recognizing its positive impact on their overall experience and the club's success.
This approach is beneficial for private clubs and easily implementable across the industry, regardless of size or structure.
