Meet The Staff

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Facing the start of the golf season with a new Director of Golf and almost an entirely new Golf Professional Staff we needed to find a way to introduce our new employees to the membership. We elected to use a web application known as Spark Page. This free Adobe application allows you to create a web story that combines text and graphics with the benefit of responsive design. Our page combined staff images, bios, and “contact me” buttons for all ten of our Golf Professional Staff Members. The Spark Page can then be embedded or linked to your Club website and included in email communications. What members especially enjoyed about this new communications piece was the way the text and images come to life because of a fluid, scrolling motion that Adobe refers to as a glideshow.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The response to our first “Meet The Staff” page was so overwhelmingly positive that the Board requested we complete a page for each Club department. We now feature a new “Meet The Staff” page every month as part of our communications plan. Since we are a large club the membership seems to appreciate having a better idea of who is on the management team and their backgrounds, a bit about their family lives, etc.
