Mid-level Manager Development with Kristen Hadeed

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This past year, our mid-level managers attended a series of three leadership development training seminars led by expert Kristen Hadeed to further educate and develop their leadership skills. These sessions were successful in helping our mid-level managers become the best version of themselves to have the biggest impact on their teams.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

These sessions included approximately 50 managers and supervisors from all departments and focused on several leadership themes, including communication, compassion, and conflict resolution. The group of mid-managers discussed current challenges and explored ways to boost culture and morale around the club. The workshops also provided an avenue for interdepartmental discussions on ways to further build communication, accountability, and trust. The mid-managers appointed a Leadership Team to continue to drive the conversation and address ways to improve overall Club communication and morale amongst the Staff. The feedback from the sessions was overwhelming, as the managers enjoyed learning about their own management styles and ways to improve in their work and personal lives. Houston Country Club plans to do sessions with their upper management and department heads team in 2023.
