Idea Fair
Minds in Motion
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
In collaboration with various departments, our Human Resources team planned eight “Minds in Motion” sessions geared towards educating our team members about other departments and having fun in the middle of a workday. These sessions included an introduction to pickleball with our Director of Tennis, a charcuterie-making workshop with our Executive Chef, a personality quiz with various department heads, and more.
These sessions took place throughout the year and all team members were invited. The team members got to meet people from other departments, learn new skills, and have a nice break in the middle of the workday.
In 2025, we are hosting sessions including the fundamentals of golf, how to make homemade ice cream and pasta, and a mocktails workshop!
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Our Human Resources department collaborated with department heads from across property to brainstorm ideas for the sessions and invited all team members via emails and signs in the break room. Our team members really enjoyed the opportunity to learn something new while at work, meet new people, and have a good time!
With the implementation of "Mind in Motion", the club was able to highlight skills of teammates that others may have not known about. Highlighting, empowering, and sparking interest amongst teammates was a great way to break up the work day - as we saw 25-40 teammates join on average for each session!
