Mini-Member Events

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Over the last few years, we have seen an increase in families coming in with children ages two to four, so the Youth Activities Team decided that our Mini-Members mattered too! We have created an entire set of events and programs that are centered around our two- to four-year-olds to start their pride in the Club early. We want our two- to four-year-olds to feel that this is their Club and home away from home, just as much as mom and dad!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Our team connected with a number of different country clubs to find out what programs were being offered for this age group, but we ended up finding more older youth activities. We spoke with our Members to determine what interests the kids had and began to develop the programming framework for our two- to four-year-olds with the goal of giving our younger kids the excitement to attend events just like their siblings and parents do. Our Mini-Programs have increased our Club’s Member attendance, assisted with other departments to generate revenue, and given our Members a place to call home, all because our Mini-Members matter and they are happy!
